1/4 cup 59.15 ml Sesame Oil
1 inch 1 inch Grated Ginger
1 1 Clove of garlic, minced
1 1/2 tbsp 1 1/2 tbsp Gochujang (Korean red pepper paste) – adjust for desired spice level
1 tbsp 1 tbsp Doenjang (Korean fermented soy paste)
1 tbsp 1 tbsp Honey or Agave Syrup
1/4 cup 1/4 Water (if needed to cover the pork)
Directions
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, Gochujang, Doenjang, and honey (or Agave syrup). Mix well to create a balanced marinade.
- Place the pork belly in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
- Pour the marinade over the pork, ensuring that it’s evenly coated. If needed, add water to cover the pork entirely.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours. For deeper flavor, marinate overnight.
